I have years of experience as a qualified teacher for both, Primary and Secondary. I specialised in special needs for a number of years and enjoyed the challenge of helping and delivering unique and innovative National Curriculum subjects to make learning fun and interesting. My passion was making education an interactive experience for all children of all abilities and to build on knowledge, in achievable steps to progress and enabling each child to experience a real sense of achievement.
During my time as a teacher, I studied psychology and Autism with the Open University and this led to me furthering my studies through achieving a Post Graduate Certificate in Counselling which progressed to studying for a Diploma in Psychotherapy. My approach is person-centred and integrative, so I have a toolbox with many resources to help in anyway I can.
